150 words #4

by | Jan 1, 2019 | 150 words | 4 comments

This year I resolve to blog at least often enough that I don’t have to reset my password every time I want to blog.

I’m wondering whether 150 words isn’t a little restrictive … perhaps I should put it up to 250? Or maybe I should go up in increments. One hundred and fifty this month, one hundred and seventy five the next and so on.

Or maybe I should over-think things less, and simply write as it is written. Because the only thing I have actually resolved for this year is that I’m not going to agonise over self-improvement and ‘once a day’ or ‘every week’. It’s exhausting never living up to things.

However you find yourself this new year’s day, resolved or otherwise, I hope at least that you had enough sleep last night. And that you are wearing sunblock and keeping your fluids up. Talk soon xx

I hope the year treats you kindly. And that you treat yourself the same way. It seems to be a common issue for women that we are too often meaner to ourselves than anyone else.
No resolutions here. And I will be skulking away from the sun.

Best new year wishes to you too, lovely Elephant’s Child. I too stay out of the sun as much as possible.

    Happy New Year!

I very much admire and am dazzled by your 150 words!

But if I had the choice between increased frequency of posting from you and the perfection of the word count, I’d go for the former every time!

Dazzled! Thank you for this wonderful word.
