Never been a goth, but… by Tracy Crisp | Oct 20, 2006 | Uncategorised | 4 comments Today’s wardrobe is three shades of black – five if you count the socks – and purple shoes which need a clean. 4 Comments ampersand duck on October 21, 2006 at 11:44 am That’s one thing you notice when you wear black a lot (apart from it hides all the dirt): there are so many distinct shades of it! Makes sense of the ‘black’ painting in the National Gallery of Australia that cops a lot of flak. It’s actually a very subtle and beautiful statement about the moment you walk outside in your supposedly simple outfit and realise that all your blacks clash. Well, that’s my reading of it, anyway. Reply ampersand duck on October 21, 2006 at 11:28 pm Yeah, that’s my excuse for not ironing 😉 Reply JahTeh on October 22, 2006 at 3:08 pm Old wives tale said that you drop 5lb for every foot of black and note the 5lb, that’s how far back I heard this. I’ve lived by it ever since. Reply Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
