We have landed, some of us more softly than others.

Much to angst over analyse through the written word, but for now, just my favourite moment from the weekend when I, huddled in a jettlagged mess in the corner reclining on the lounge, said to the mister,

‘Can you get me a soda water? I’ve just spent two months with no one to get things for me,’

and he replied, ‘Oh! A perfect match! Because here am I, just spent two months with no one to get things for.’

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I am going to sit in the silence that is the first day back at school after nearly three months of constant familial companionship (remembering that our weeks start on Sundays, because our weekends start on Fridays).
